Agriculture
We specialize in agricultural chemistry, but the great value that AGQ Labs brings to the industry is the synergy between our expertise in agricultural chemistry and our specialized knowledge in engineering. Our team of agronomists is composed of professionals with experience in the best plantations of the world. All of our decisions are based on analytical information derived from internally developed monitoring procedures and programs. We are experts in the control of soil-plant-water system.
Agricultural testing services
Technical due diligence for agricultural investment projects
We analyze each project in the greatest detail to achieve a profitable, sustainable investment with minimal risks. The viability of any agricultural investment project depends mainly on two factors:
- The market
- Production technical and operational capabilities
The first factor can be estimated but not controlled. However, an adequate technical evaluation allows establishing the lowest risk scenarios for the objectives pursued. At AGQ Labs, given our technological capacity and agronomic experience in more than 25 countries, we are specialists in this type of technical audits.
Crop Nutritional Monitoring
The key to increasing the profitability of your crops!
With Crop Nutritional Monitoring (CNM) system AGQ Labs has been monitoring and evaluating the chemical needs of crops for over 20 years and we have helped clients around the world increase crop production, improve product quality and size, optimize fertilizer and water usage, control salinity and establish zero pesticide leaching methods.
AGQ Labs continuously evaluates what the crop needs at all times. Throughout the campaign we monitor the water and nutrient uptake of the crop and advise our clients on how to adjust their irrigation and fertilizers to the optimal level. This type of control also allows AGQ Labs' clients to follow sustainable agricultural practice because leaching is minimized
Soil Factory Lab
Faster and more accurate agricultural soil analysis
At AGQ Labs we are experts in plant nutrition and analysis of agricultural soil. Given how important it is for any agricultural management program to correctly analyze agricultural soils,we have developed Soil Factory Lab, a new approach to laboratory analysis for agricultural soils. Our high-tech equipment and production design allows us to offer the best response times and the most competitive pricing on the market.
Nutritional Maps GIS - NDVI
AGQ Labs uses high quality GIS and NDVI maps to display crop nutritional monitoring data allowing customers to easily see and understand their results. With this technology, AGQ Labs' customers are able to see nutrient evolution maps of the soil and plant through the growing season using AGQ Labs' advanced interactive platform online.
The best way to know the fertility of your soils and the nutritional status of your crops!
Organic farming
AGQ Labs brings its tools and its knowledge on the soil-plant-water system to organic farming. AGQ Labs has been working for more than 20 years using suction probes to identify the plant's response to nutrients, their availability and the relationships with the salt concentrations that are produced in the profile.
Wastewater recovery
Our experience in analytical controls and plant nutrition has allowed us to develop concrete solutions for wastewater recovery.
Whether waste from the processes of the agri-food industry (residues of crushers, juices, tomato preserves, etc.), or waste from industrial processes (mining, sewage treatment, etc.), these wastewater can be, following suitable treatments, reused for fertirrigate (liquid waste) or for fertilizing (sludge) crops.
- Characterization of wastewater
- Application variability study (limiting factors and risks)
- Nutritional monitoring following application
- Corrective measures
Food Safety Services
The food industry is one of the most demanding industries in regards to demonstrating the quality and safety of its products. To do so, it is critical to ally with a laboratory with the most advanced technology and techniques, and the highest levels of international accreditation and with specialists who provide diverse solutions for optimizing processes, product conservation, food safety, etc.
Agricultural Production
Both public authorities and, increasingly, consumers, require fruits and vegetables produced through sustainable agriculture systems, in which the water and fertilizer inputs are adapted to the real demand on the part of plants, using the natural resources that are present in water and soil.
AGQ Labs in more than twenty years has shown that this is not only possible, but it also makes agriculture more profitable, thanks to savings on production costs and the improvements in quality and productivity.
With our Crop Nutritional Monitoring service, we provide advice on more than 2 million hectares in the main countries with quality agricultural production. The philosophy of the future is to apply technologies and knowledge in agriculture to achieve precision agronomy, profitability and environmental friendly practices.
Producers and Distributors of Agricultural Production Supplies
Nowadays, any producer or distributor of supplies for agricultural production has the main mission to bring added value to its customers.
In addition to the products that they can offer, it is also common to transfer a service that is well integrated with the function of their products. There are many companies in this sector that have found in AGQ Labs an ideal partner for effective checks on their products, with the purpose of transferring specialized consulting services to its customers or creating added services.
Green Areas
Large green areas like parks, gardens and golf courses must be subjected to a periodic and rigorous monitoring of irrigation and nutrition. These are areas that usually use slow-release fertilizers, whose release rate must be controlled to prevent leaching from overuse of fertilizers.
